I don’t care where they live or what their religion is. Mean people (and in this case, mean governments) suck. In this case Israel is bombing Lebanon into smithereens over 2 kidnapped soldiers. Now what has Lebanon done to incur this kind of large-scale wrath from a US-backed government that solves each new problem with more and more force?
Nothing. The same as Iraq, which did nothing to deserve being occupied by the USA.

I think Israel’s recent show of force is a result of a little more than 2 kidnapped soldiers. These groups have been fighting since the dawn of man… and all based primarily on religious beliefs. Wait until the grim reeper comes a-calling and they find out their were both wrong… there is no light at the end of the tunnel. On another note, like it or not, 80% wanted blood after 9/11, so afgan & iraq were on the menu… funny how quickly people forget. Fuck it… bring on iran and syria and lets get the apocolyptic party under way.
9/11 pales in comparison to the havoc our country’s grotesque and lethal reaction has wreaked on this planet ever since.
What makes Israeli or US government bombs different than a raghead with a vest on a donkey? The answer, again, is nothing. Ideology and methods aside, both seek to kill, incite fear, and wind up maiming and killing innocent people. Both ascribe their righteous purposes as inspired by a Creator. Only the government’s approach is fueled by a tax base and an unlimited supply of cash it can print on demand.
How can either be right? They can’t. But what these two (of all) governments do is far worse: It is state-sponsored terrorism, no less than Palestine, Syria, Lebanon and Iran. Fighting fire with more fire. Creating more misery in the name of God and country. And in the process of doing whatever our leaders want, poisoning the Earth forever with Depleted Uranium. There is no precedent for punishing a government or its leaders for poisoning the entire planet when it comes to war crimes. But it won’t matter because the penalty is death for everybody. Armaggedon has already blown in on the breeze wafting through out wonderful Montana local. The evidence is in your body and it will be deadly for 4.5 billion years.
Our tendency to differentiate and look the other way, and cite historical enmities, while we fund the monstrous dissemblage of our beautiful, beautiful world is nothing less than a denial of what is ultimately compelling it.
This conflict will end when the world does. I agree with the Palestinians, Hamas and Hezbollah’s proposition of a free home land, where they are able to exercise their religious freedom. What I have a problem with is these groups intolerance with other religions. Can you blame Israel and their heavy-handed tactics when it has been expressed by all of these groups that the destruction of the Israeli state is their ultimate goal? I think not. I would do no less than a pre-emptive strike if someone had directly threated and carried out attacks against my family. I would offer NO QUARTER and no excuses, just a crushing blow to deter any more intolerant acts and ideology. Fact is, Israel is in a life and death struggle against a hostile and fanatical enemy. The US needs to re-evaluate it’s ties with Israel. It is the perception that the US has direct control over Israel’s foreign policy, which further enrages an already enraged populace.
